Silver Baggy Pants

These pants were inspired from the noticeably recent "metallic" trend in clothing, and a book I am currently reading entitled "Just Kids" by Patti Smith. She quotes the type of dress of those walking around St. Mark's, informing readers that they also all had "wild hair and kohl-rimmed eyes;" so we tried to go for this look with Liz's make-up. Enjoy!

Little Green Dress

This simple, little green dress is not a part of the summer collection. The back has a simple dart, an a-line cut, & a triangular cut-out. The garment is incomplete, we have post-puppy surgery to tend to, so expect more pictures!

Going Plaid

After seeing this gorgeous fabric at the store, we had to buy some to make something out of it. We decided on a shorter, 3/4 length sleeve button down shirt. Designer imported fabric, not for sale in this pattern.

The last picture is a photo from refinery29. In a recent article titled Hot Mess: A Wild Eyed Makeup Trend Gets Pretty they've "found our eye makeup's artful smudges after nocturnal antics or late-night dance-a-thons dramatically impressive." We tried to incorporate this trend into Liz's make-up.

Suede Fix

In keeping with the summer collection, we decided to make a piece that goes well with the suede shorts : a sophisticated, high-neck suede top. Enjoy.

Light Tan Suede Shorts

These shorts are another part of our summer collection, as you can notice some sort of trend by now I'm sure. They are made of a fairly soft, light tan suede fabric and held up by an attached black belt and two black buttons.

New Pants and Striped Shirt

This is our very first pair of pants! We decided to make them summery, lightweight, airy. The black accents on the top and the bottom help to make the pants more fitting and flattering around the waist and ankles.
The striped shirt is just a signature top, off the shoulder, with a very light weight, almost see-through material. The combination of the pants and shirt are sure to work well this summer.

These pants and shirt will be staple items in our summer 2010 collection. We can't wait to finish it!

Square V Neck Dress

This purple dress had, yet again, different intentions. Originally, I had wanted to create a dress with off-the-shoulder sleeves and a slit in the back. However, once I got halfway through the construction, I realized that the slit looked a lot nicer, and more sophisticated, in the front than in the back. The square, thick way in which it is sewn is very flattering, and I liked the idea of having the fabric join together in the front, instead of the traditional seam in the back.

After looking at Rossella Tarabini's sketches, I used her style to draw my vision. According to fashionmodeldirectory.com, Tarabini's work shows "grat attention to sartorial details and fluidity of lines" while "express[ing] great sensual femininity withholding any exhibitionism."Her drawings are beautiful. They are so simple, yet they hold within them a personality and coloring of their own. A gorgeous photograph of hers can be seen here.

Simple Red Dress with Illustrations by Zang Toi

I don't know what possessed me to throw together a red dress. It was one of those simple things, that you can put together in 5 minutes. It turned out to be so sheer, that it would probably work out better as a bathing suit cover-up. Although this piece will not be a part of our summer collection, we wanted to show it anyway.

Zang Toi is a Malaysian fashion designer from New York. Some of his pieces can be seen on Kirstie Alley, Meg Ryan, and Fergie. His illustrations are fairy geometrical, and he has a tendency to use animal features for human faces. His handwriting of what the garment contains is what really makes him stick out, so we wanted to incorporate that into our rendition.
